A change of scenery is in store for today as the flat plains of the Vale of Mowbray are left behind and the high, undulating and empty North York moors are entered. So it's time to point my somewhat, but not completely recovered legs at 22km of ups and downs reaching some fine viewpoints in this, the last region of a long and beautiful walk.
